Dear P5 FANATICS,

Remember the discussion about what to do for ACS Carnival 2009 we had on Friday? well I found this website renting out popcorn machines and other concessionary machines. Have a look and maybe we can do something to help the school raise some funds.

Writing- Six Story Starters:

1. Starting with a Theme

4. Starting with Action
5. Summarising an Event
6. Stating your stand/an opinion
   

You will be sharing with each other what you have done over the weekend :the story starters you were assigned to complete in your Journal. I will be publishing the best story starters on this blog

Tuesday:

NHT Kampong Glam please see my previous post.

Wednesday:
Silent Reading will be held on Wednesday. Please remember to bring your storybook.

Thursday:

You will be working on your Second Draft of Continuous Writing 1.

Friday:

Spelling Quiz for Term 1 Week9. Do remember to study these words for your Science Spelling as well.

Remember the consequences for not doing well in your spelling Quizzes. Your parents will need to sign your spelling book by this time.

Do remember that the School Health Visit will be held during this week. IF any of my lessons are interrupted, I might need to shuffle some of the assignments.

Week 9....Kampong Glam

Dear P5 Fanatics,

Remember that we have our National Heritage Trek: Kampong Glam this week.

You may bring a camera if you wish to take some pictures. Do remember some snacks and water. I emphasize the word some. I do not want any of you to bring too much and waste food. You might want to share them with your classmates. We will have another NHT in term 3 so some of you can take turns to bring snacks.

There will be a Reflection on the NHT that you will need to complete. I will pass that to you on Wednesday to complete in class.

Week 8 forecast

Dear 5F,

Get ready for a busy week 8 ahead.

We will be having our reading period as well as spelling quiz for week 8 on Friday.

Our writing periods will be on Tuesday and Thursday where we will work on the second draft of your Continuous Writing 1.

Do remember that you need to work on your Social Studies Group Presentation. Feel free to discuss in Ask n Learn discussion boards.
