Just wanted to give all of you an update on the Holiday assignments. I have asked all of you to access AsknLearn and attempt the Comprehension Cloze exercise under Quiz. The title of the exercise is Comprehension Cloze 1.
I know you all have been saying that you can't see the assignment but go take a look.
The other activity I want all of you to do is to complete the Reading Award Booklet. I expect at least a first stage completion by the first week of Term 2.
Last of all, I will be going through the 'I Can Write' Booklet with all of you during the first week of Term 2. Look out for emotions that the phrases are trying to show. Take a look at phrases in the spelling list as well. I will be asking all of you to indicate what emotions are depicted through the phrases.
I hope this entry did not spoil your holiday mood. Take care boys, enjoy what's left of your holidays.
I might have given all of you a heart attack yesterday when the relief teacher gave you all the spelling words.
I only realized that there was a problem when I started marking the books this morning. The words did not match with the spelling list given to all of you.
I am very sorry for the confusion, panic and fear caused. In any case the consequence for scoring less 7 and below for spelling has been waived.
Apologies again. Enjoy your holidays!!!
Mr. Edmund Wu

Just something I came across while surfing the net. Some of the activities looks interesting and I hope some of you can take a look and try out some of the competitions.
On a somewhat related note (seeing as both events have lots of people attending), I would like to talk more about the ACS Carnival soon. Now, as most of you know, the school is still looking for more of you to come forward and help the school raise funds. I hope all of you will step up and help our class raise the most money for the school.
At the same time, We need to start planning for the Games and Food stall our class will be organising. So could I ask that you start checking with your parents if they will be fre on that day to man the stall with you.
The last ACS Carnival was in 2007 and you were in P3. So it's time to step up to the plate and show everyone what P5 Fanaticsare made of.
As you all might have heard, I am down with the Flu and am not in school today. I have set some work for all of you to complete. If you have not done so, Please complete the 6 different starters assignment I assigned last week. This is to be done in your Journal.
Next for Social Studies, I actually wanted to allow the groups who have not presented to present in class what they have prepared, but this was not to be. In any case, we will continue the group presentations on Thursday.
From the Sick Bed (see, so poor thing right?), Mr Edmund Wu
